IP Address with any critical topic, the key is to start with the most straightforward and most essential: the concept of what an IP address is and how it relates to my business. Why is it vital to know how an IP address works?
Simply put, an IP address is a digital identifier with which you must connect to the Internet. It is how you determine where the computer (PC, tablet, IoT device, website, or mobile phone) is located and, to some extent, what type of computer it is.
The abbreviation IP means “Internet Protocol” in English, and in Spanish, it translates as “Internet Protocol.”
In short, it is a supervisory system that allows you to send and receive information through the Internet, whether by sending mail, transmitting video, chatting, or connecting to a website.
An IP address identifies a network or device on the Internet.
As a numerical digit, it has the quality of uniqueness, so it cannot be repeated (or more) in any other command under any circumstances. It helps to identify and locate the group.
Now it is imperative to distinguish between the meanings of IP addresses.
An IP address is the ID number of a computer/device/website. Instead, IP refers to a system of rules (Internet Protocol) that these computers must follow to communicate with each other.
What are IP Addresses at a Practical level?
IP is a 32-digit orbital binary cipher, structured in 4 blocks of 8 binary numbers.
With this unique identification number, a specific device will connect to the Internet without any problem.
Typically, electronic devices that connect to the Internet are called hosts. Hosts can connect to the Internet, such as tablets, smartphones, IoT TVs.
In this way, the IP addresses will be like car license plates, phone numbers, or different people’s DNI numbers.
For example, using the DNI number, we can find out who a person is (age, gender, full name) and where we can find them if they have committed an illegal act or need help.
How Does it Work?
In the example above, we can have a pretty good idea of what an IP address is. Because of this, one can fully understand how the so-called “Internet Protocol” works fully.
As we mentioned earlier, IP is like a phone number that allows you to identify a specific device/equipment.
For sample, when you call someone on the phone, your phone number finds you and assures the person answering the call that you are who you say you are.
IP addresses do the same when you are online.
Now, who is responsible for assigning the IP numbers to the teams?
When we join the Internet router in our house, this team is in charge of defining an exclusive, unique and non-repeatable IP address for each connected device or equipment.
In this technique, our information can be identified, and, in a calculation, the router will make sure that there are no dual computers with the same address.

What are the Types of Intellectual Property?
There are several types of IP addresses, for example:
Private IP addresses
A remote IP address is the address of your device or computer connected to the Internet at home or work, that is, your home or work network.
If you have multiple devices connected to the same ISP, all of your devices will have a specific private IP address.
However, this IP address is not accessible from devices outside of your home or work network.
In this case, the secluded IP addresses will not always single, as there a limited number of devices connected to the Wi-Fi Internet in your home or office.
How can I find out the IP address of my Computer?
If you have a Windows computer, click on the Windows search engine (if you have Windows 10, you can find it in the lower-left corner, to the right of the primary operating system icon) and add the command prompt.
An app with this name will appear in the results. Click on this icon. A command window will appear shortly. Enter here the command “ipconfig” from the keyboard and press “Enter.”
Your computer’s IP address will appear immediately.
